Each terminal session uses an isolated Linux sandbox with a shell and writable workspace. Scripts, git, Python and standard command-line tools run in the cloud rather than on your phone.

No phone-side setup

Opening Terminal starts the cloud workspace for you. Nothing needs to be installed, exposed over HTTPS or kept running on your phone.

Same account on phone and desktop

Conversations and notes are saved against your account, so a thread started on the phone is already there when you sign in on a laptop. Terminal sessions remain separate and isolated.

Mobile-first layout

On a phone the workspace switches between Chat, Terminal and Notes instead of squeezing panes together, so each one gets the full screen. On larger screens the panes sit side by side and can be resized.

Clear states, no pretending

Starting, connected and unavailable are shown as distinct states. If the cloud workspace cannot be reached, Alcharmy says so instead of showing a fake prompt.

Questions

Do I need to install a terminal app?: No. The terminal runs in the cloud. AI chat, saved conversations and notes also work without opening a terminal.
Does Alcharmy run commands on my phone?: No. Commands run inside your isolated cloud Linux workspace. Your phone's files and operating system are not exposed.
Does my phone need to stay open?: No. Your phone is only the interface. The cloud workspace remains available for its session lifetime, and the terminal can rejoin it when you return.
Is this on Google Play?: Alcharmy installs to your home screen from the browser today. The download page links a Play listing only if and when one is live.
